Arthur van Hoff is a former Sun Microsystems Senior Staff Engineer who has recently left Sun to form a new company to build Java applications. During the 3 years that Arthur was at Sun he worked on the Java compiler, the Java applet APIs, and the HotJava browser. Arthur is also the author of one of the first books on Java applets called "Hooked on Java."
