lAt the lowest level of any content management task is the nature of the data itself which is often stored in proprietary database management systems (DBMS). XML offers a variety of choices for the back-end format.

1.The type of business determines the appropriate XML vocabulary.
2.If a suitable vocabulary-of-choice is unavailable for a business, a generic vocabulary with an inclination towards databases, could be used.
